DOME LENS: Full dome mirrors are the same as if you were to cut a ball or sphere in half with a 1/2" to 1- 1/4" flange around the edge depending on the size and style of dome. There are slight variations in the round (convex) shape but generally they are the same. The model ALH... domes are slightly less than 1/2 the diameter where the model RAV... domes are closer to 1/2 the diameter. For Example: An RAV26F will be 26" wide with a 3/4" flange making the actual width 27 1/2" with a depth of 13". The ALH143265 26" dome has the same overall width but the depth is around 12 1/2".

Full Dome Backing
a) Lens Only
No Backing - Less rigidity - Easy Flange Mount With Screws - For inside use only.
b) Hard-Board
Masonite Hardboard - More Ridged assembly with chain or wire loop brackets for hanging from a high ceiling.
c) Galvanized Steel
Non-porous surface for high interior humidity applications. Wire or chain brackets like for hanging from a high ceiling.

Full Dome Mounts
1) Flange Mount
Attached directly to the ceiling with screws through holes in the flange (Screws not included).
2) Chain/Wire Bracket Mount
The full domes, with backing (Hardboard or Glv Stl), come with Loops on back that can attached to a chain or wire to suspend the mirror.
3) Chain Mount Attached to the Flange
The full domes with the chain mounting hardware included, have holes in the flange where the mounting hardware attaches to the mirror. These mirrors are also a good option if you want the finished look of the black rim but need to use screws to fasten the mirror directly to a ceiling.

1) Inside Use Only - Light Weight - NO Black Rubber Rim - Flange Mount Holes
The picture on the right is of the no back full dome flange mounted mirror. This mirror is fastened to a wall through the 4 holes around the flange. Front of installed full dome NOTE: You MUST CALL to order the 48" sizes. The reason is: 48" Full Dome mirrors are to large to ship via a common carrier and our web site does not provide truck freight costs.

The flange mounted domes have no rim boarder around the flange, are light and are easy to install. The lens is shatterproof acrylic with excellent reflective properties. This mirror is a good choice where there is a flat surface where the mirror can easily be attached with screws. The mirror can be attached directly to a ceiling. (MADE IN THE USA)

The Polycarbonate Full Dome is highly impact resistant with excellent reflective properties. There is no rim around the lens or back plate which allows the mirror to be lightweight. The lens is held with a wire frame, which attaches over the back around flange. Wires or chains can be then attached to the wire frame. Excellent for use inside a warehouse at the end of storage rack isles. Used to help forklift drivers see traffic around intersecting isles. The lens is very close to unbreakable with excellent reflective properties. (Assembled and Distributed IN THE USA)

The Hardboard backed full dome mirrors are built solid with an Extruded Rubber rim holding the back to the dome lens. There are 4 "D" Loop attachments for wire or chain mounting. The backing prevents birds from nesting inside the dome and adds weight to resist wind currents from causing the domes to easily be swing around. Excellent inside a warehouse for use at the end of storage rack isles. Used to help forklift drivers see traffic around intersecting isles. The hardboard back in not waterproof so consider using the Steel Backed mirrors if there is a possibility of water falling down onto the dome.
